Hello!  Welcome. Let us introduce ourselves.

Austin was born and raised in Tucson. He graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Literature, which he would love to say he uses but most of the time that is not the case. Before moving to Africa he had worked for 10 years for his dad, who owns a sporting goods store in Tucson.

He loves learning new things, reading magazines, rock climbing, and playing the guitar. He is really good at figuring out how to fix things, mostly computer and other IT problems. He loves his puppy Charlie very much and wishes he could have brought him as a carry on.

Amy was born in Phoenix but a Tucsonan at heart. Attended Saints Peter and Paul, Salpointe and The University of Arizona. She received her degree in Elementary Education with  a minor in Spanish and Music.

Loves to travel and experience new cultures and languages. Loves to sing, run, and her puppy Osa. Loves to work with kids who teach her so much everyday. Has the most amazing family in the world!  Loves her friends who see her through the good and bad. Is so thankful for her loving husband Austin who does so much for her. Jesus is her light who blesses her abundantly.

We have been working in Africa as of August 2009, at a school named Haven of Peace Academy (HOPAC) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.  We are super excited about the opportunity that God has set before us and are constantly in awe of the blessings he is showing us here.

HOPAC is a small school for kids of missionaries in Tanzania as well as local kids of middle to upper class families.  They have classes for kids from kindergarten to 12th grade.

Amy is teaching 5th grade and helps with soccer and student council.

Austin is the IT administrator and helps out wherever else is necessary.

We are extremely fortunate to have this opportunity in our lives and are super grateful.
